We had such a fabulous experience with C&C Bennett team!

 

I was shocked when my husband, Hugh told me he’d just gotten a phone call and he would be going to Iraq for an entire year. Hugh is in the Army National Guard. We were right in the middle of moving back to Oklahoma City from Bartlesville. We decided it would be best for me and my two boys to live with my mother until my husband returned from his deployment.

 

After a long year, my husband returned from Iraq ready to move on with his life…get back to normal. The key element to this “moving on” was moving from my mother’s house into our own home. We rapidly starting finding out this would be a difficult thing to do. Carol ( Emme) and Christopher Bennett immediately started showing us houses. We had a long list of “wants”. Mostly, we wanted to buy a foreclosure or short sale home. We really needed to have a house with built-in equity as we did not have a lot of money to put down or use toward closing costs. Since Hugh had just gotten home from Iraq we did not want to spend our time fixing up a home either. Carol managed to find the perfect home for us. It was the first house Hugh and I looked at with her. It is a 2200 square foot home with 3 bed, 3 bath and a bonus room. The house is 7 years old. I couldn’t believe that we had found a house within weeks of Hugh coming home. Carol negotiated with the bank that owned the home. She got a wonderful deal for us! The list price was 127,900, she negotiated 115,000 plus all of our closing  costs! We got our house for $30-35,000 less than the value of the home. The entire home needed to be painted and a few minor repairs, but THAT WAS IT! She has a fabulous niche for finding exactly what you’re looking for!

 

Next, would come financing. For the last year my husband had been working for the Army while deployed and while he was getting adequate pay, it would not be pay that would be counted in regards to getting a loan. My husband’s civilian job is sales. We would not be able to count any commissions as income because we couldn’t go back with commissions for two consecutive years. While my husband was gone, I cut my hours back to almost none as I was doing what I could to make sure my children we well taken care of. Needless to say, we did NOT look good on paper.

 

When I sat down one day and told Christopher about all of our dilemas and actually told him we were considering renting a place until we could re-establish ourselves. He suggested I just talk to a lender that he had quite a bit of faith in. Within the week my husband went to see Perry Duncan at First Commercial Bank, Perry asked for some information, had us pay a couple of bills off and literally had us approved in days. Perry Duncan is such a professional. It was obvious that he had been doing this for a long time.

 

We closed on our house about 3 weeks later.

 

I would recommend Carol and Christopher Bennett to anyone. They took care of our needs from the “cradle to the grave” and we are living in a house we love. I honestly do not think they know what they have done for my family as I think that is just the way they are. They are hard workers who just want to help people. Thanks to them, my husband has been able to “move on”.

Emme and Christopher Bennett are a great team. Emme was able to help us price our house for sale and get 2 offers the first day it was on the market. Even when the initial buyers fell through, Emme and Christopher got us another contract the same day. The Bennetts were very helpful through the whole selling process. They also helped us find the perfect house for us. Even though we took a long time looking for the exact house we wanted, Emme and Christopher were patient with us and never rushed or pushed us into anything that wasn’t just right. We needed to sell our home quickly because we needed to start construction on our dream home. Christopher and Emme really helped us to understand the importance of getting our home ready to sell, ie staging, maintenance etc in order to get highest amount for our home. It was very helpful and we did everything we could. We had multiple showings and got an offer after only 35 days that was a little lower than we had anticipated but because of Emme’s great negotiating skills she was able to not only keep the offer on the table but bring the Buyer’s up to where we wanted to be.
